The base variant of Scania R 2009 is the Normal model which costs €113K. In its default configuration it comes with a 4X2 chassis combined with a 360 HP engine that is able to generate torque of up to 1,850 NM. It has a fuel tank capacity of 1,400 litre.
ENGINE UPGRADES :
In the table below I have enlisted the engine upgrades available for the Scania R 2009. Followed by which I have explained a few terms in relation to it.
Power : The more powerful an engine is the better it will perform especially with relatively heavy loads. The unit of measurement is horsepower (HP). Torque : More torque an engine has the better it will be able to accelerate. So it is a useful metric for race cars but not all that useful for trucks. RPM : It stands for Revolutions Per Minute and this is once again a metric for the race track not for the highway.
TRANSMISSION UPGRADES :
In the table below I have enlisted the available transmission upgrades for the Scania R 2009. Followed by which I have explained a few terms in relation to it.
Gears : Number of gears available in the transmission setup. I prefer the ones which have lesser number of gears because then I have to bother much less about shifting gears. FGR : It stands for First Gear Ratio and measures how good the pick-up of the transmission system. This is an important metric for trucks especially with heavier loads because the first gear sets it rolling. Differential : It measures the number of rotation the output system makes for every rotation of the wheel. So if you multiply it with FGR you will get the number of rotations the engine has to make to get the wheel rotate once in the first gear.
Where to find the Scania Dealerships ?
I have a dedicated list in which I have enlisted all the 49 truck dealerships present in the base version of ETS2 of all truck manufacturers combined. You can find the dealerships there. Bookmark it! Its quite useful.
